What is National #GetOutsideDay?

Founded by Ordnance Survey, National #GetOutsideDay is a chance for us all to celebrate the great outdoors. We want to help more people to get outside more often so that they live longer, stay younger and enjoy life more! It doesn’t matter where you go, what you do or who you’re with – everyone can get outside from their front door! So, save the date – Sunday 24 September and join us to celebrate National #GetOutsideDay 2023!

This year's theme is 'precious places'. We want to find the best places across the UK and encourage you to explore and protect them.

Follow us on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter to stay up to date with the great outdoors.

Protect a precious place

Now more than ever is it so important to protect our outdoor spaces so we can enjoy them for years to come. Remember to follow the countryside side code and leave no trace when out and about. With the help of our partners, we'll be sharing ways you can be kind to the environment.
