What drives you to spend time outside?
A burning desire to explore and experience as much of the incredibly varied UK landscape around us as possible!
Where are your favourite places to go?
Anywhere with a view which involves a little effort! Mountains, national parks and the coast definitely top the list.
What is your favourite thing to do outdoors?
Day hiking with a sprinkling of scrambling, views and good laughs. Fair weather preferable but will take whatever I can get - throw in a sunrise or a sunset and now we’re talking!
Who inspires you and how?
Alfred Wainwright for inspiring me to explore the Lake District and the selfless volunteers that enable Mountain Rescue to function and save lives.
What are your focuses this year to help people get outside more often?
Hiking more and further to help inspire others to discover beautiful locations they may not know about; sharing routes, photos and videos along the way.
What are your 3 biggest life achievements?
Escaping the city, adopting a much healthier lifestyle through hiking and becoming a GetOutside Champion of course!
