Mohammed Dhalech

Meet Mohammed Dhalech a passionate advocate for access to all to our stunning UK countryside

We found out a little about Mohammed and why he likes to get outside?

Mohammed is Passionate about enjoying our landscapes and protecting them for future generations and the importance of Access and inclusion for all. Mohammed has a particular interest in equality, diversity and inclusion in rural areas of the UK and serves on the National Outdoors for All Working Group and is a volunteer with the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District National Park. He’s also a previous recipient of the prestigious Churchill Fellowship.

Recently, Mohammed has been working with partners to promote outdoor safety. He is the Chair of Mosaic Outdoors, an organisation that aims to build sustainable links between Ethnically Diverse communities and the countryside and outdoors. Mohammed is also a PhD Candidate at the University of Leicester, researching “How well and widely known is the history and heritage of racially minoritised people who live, work or visit different parts of rural Britain and why?”

Mohammed enjoys the outdoors to get away, de-stress, refresh and enjoy the beautiful environment, colours, smells, and just relax in the natural outdoors environment. What he enjoys most is introducing new people to the Outdoors and taking them out for the first time and the enjoyment they get from the experience.

What’s your favourite route or place to go and why?

Mohammed’s Favourite Walking Route – Kentmere Valley, Lake District

My favourite route at the moment is walking in the Kentmere valley, it’s beautiful, quite
and peaceful, you can escape from the crowds and busy Lakes.
