Emily Gill Great British Dog Walking (1)

Emily Gill

Meet Emily Gill who has a passion for dog walking all over the UK

Tell us a bit about yourself and how you like to get outside?

My name is Emily and I love exploring the UK with my dog, Murphy, a Jack Russell cross. When I’m not out exploring, I work for a university, but I try and get away as much as possible, trying out new walking routes and inspiring other people to get outside with their dog. I hope I’m not too weird in the fact that I also love nothing better than settling down with a cuppa and a map and plotting a new walking route!

What’s your favourite route or place to go and why?

My all-time favourite place to walk is the North Norfolk coast, and more specifically Wells-next-the-Sea and Holkham. They are both dog friendly year-round, and I love nothing more than heading to the beach. My favourite route starts in Wells, heading across the beach and through the pinewoods before taking in the stunning Holkham Park and Hall. And like all great routes it has some fab pub and café stops, plenty of opportunities for fantastic photos and finishes at the chippie where you can enjoy fresh fish and chips on the quayside breathing in the sea air.
