Alex Dziadulewicz

Meet Alex, a part time farmer and avid hiker from the Cotswolds

Tell us a bit about yourself and how you like to get outside?

I’m a freelance Social Media Manager and Content Creator… oh, and part-time farmer! My life alternates between hiking and farm life, a variety I am eternally grateful for.

I’m originally from Bath, in the southwest of the UK, but moved up to the Cotswolds a few years ago, which gives me even better access to the Welsh mountains and local walks on the Cotswold Way. You’ll often see me out with our dog, Rue, who enjoys hiking with me on his days off from the farm.

I like to showcase my outdoorsy life through my social channels, and often like adding some satire in there for your entertainment! Especially since social media can very much be a highlight reel of one’s life.

What’s your favourite route/ place to go and why?

Alex Dziadulewicz’s Favourite Route – Devil’s Kitchen, Eryri

My favourite hiking route is Devil’s Kitchen in Eryri National Park. North Wales’ landscape is often referred to as “God’s country”, and even driving through Ogwen Valley, you can see why!

The myth behind the Devil’s Kitchen route is part of the reason why I love it. You will often see low clouds (or a plume of “steam”) pouring over the side of the mountain and through the cracks. According to folklore, when you see the steam rising from the mountain, the devil is home and cooking in his kitchen.
