Walk to Work Day
Spending time outside every day is a great way to boost our health and well-being. Going for a walk is an excellent way to not only break up the day, but to also do something positive to influence your mood. It is simply one of the best things we can choose to do for ourselves. But if you need an excuse, this week we celebrate “Walk to Work Day”.
Tourist trail at Ingleton Waterfalls
The Yorkshire Dales are awash with rolling hills and beautiful walking routes, so many that you could live there for years and still not discover them all. But if you have time for just one walk when you are in the area, you would do well to head to the Ingleton Waterfalls Trail, a well maintained and trodden route taking walkers four to five miles around five sets of waterfalls from the picturesque village of Ingleton.
Kinder walk from Edale
In middle England we are blessed to have a huge range of walking opportunities available to us, and the Peak District is an excellent place to start if you have not explored this area before. One of my favourite places to head for hill walk is Edale, where the famous Pennine Way starts/finishes, and where you have easy access to Kinder Scout, Mam Tor, and a huge number of other walks with great views.
