Meet OS Champion Tracy Purnell – dog lover, trail runner and Brecon Beacons National Park Ambassador.
Tell us a bit about yourself and how you like to get outside?
I live in Bannau Brycheiniog and spend most of my time running and walking with my dogs. I love trail running, ultras are my favourite distance. I also love the mountains, especially my home of Bannau Brycheiniog. Whether it’s running or walking with my dogs, outdoors with nature is where I feel most at home. I enjoy sharing my outdoor photographs on social media and writing walking routes for my website. I enjoy visiting Trig Pillars, it’s these cool structures I have to thank for my love of exploring and learning all there is to know about map reading and navigation.

What’s your favourite route?
My favourite route and area is Fan Frynych and Craig Cerrig Gleisiad nature reserve. It is a local walk for me, it is so beautiful with fantastic views and it’s a quieter area of Bannau Brycheiniog.
What’s your fave bit of kit available on the OS Shop?
