What drives you to spend time outside?
Brynn - It makes me feel good, I love discovering places with views I never thought I would see.
Faith - Spending time with family and friends.
Kim - The look on the children’s faces when they achieve something they never thought possible
Where are your favourite places to go?
Brynn and Kim - It has to be Shetland, but anywhere in the UK with a view!
Faith - Around my local community, especially the local beach.
What is your favourite thing to do outdoors?
Brynn - Getting out in the countryside and challenging myself in my wheelchair.
Kim - Walking and exploring new places.
Faith - Camping, especially at festivals. Taking our cat Neko for walks.
Who inspires you and how?
Brynn and Faith - Anna McNuff, she stayed with us during her barefoot Britain. Speaking to her about what our bodies are capable of and showing us that by pushing our bodies to the limits, anything is possible!
Kim - My children! Watching them achieve things we never thought possible has inspired me to get outside even more.
What are your focuses this year to help people get outside more often?
Our main focuses this year are: Setting up a walking group within our local community where anyone can join in. Completing a gruelling challenge we have set ourselves for charity, we will be encouraging others to join us during the event or whilst out training. We will be sharing our adventures online via social media to help motivate and inspire even more people around the world to push their own limits to the max.
What are your 3 biggest life achievements?
As a family helping Brynn complete his 20K all terrain wheelchair challenge around Shetlands tough terrain. Reaching places we never thought possible as a family. Becoming part of the Get Outside Champions family!
