The Perfect Route: The width of Llyn Padarn

For the best views of Llyn Padarn, I recommend parking at the lagoons, near the famous Lone Tree. This spot shows the lake’s beauty with views of Yr Wyddfa, Dolbadarn Castle and the surrounding peaks. This spot has a lovely gentle entry and exit point which allows you to acclimatise to the cold water before starting your swim.

As you swim out into the middle of the lake you will reach a little island. This is a great spot to catch your breath and admire the views. From here you will swim off to reach the other side, remember to always check conditions and swim within your means.
