This 20KM Upper Derwent Valley MTB Route is perfect for people who want an adrenaline-fueled bike ride in the Peak District National Park.

It starts from the Fairholmes Visitor Centre, where there is even a bike shop for you to rent appropriate bikes and gear from if you don’t own it yourself. This difficult route has it all: steep inclines, exhilarating downhill sections, beautiful scenery, a pub and even a cafe with public toilets at the start/end point.
The route takes you along some road sections, some standard offroad sections and some severe off-road sections, it is a great mix of all terrains rolled into one, and it would be a great way to whet the appetite for future MTB adventures.

There are many options on route to make it either easier or harder on yourself too, but all routes make for an enjoyable day out.
