Not all landscape photos need to be of dramatic views. This simple shot of eel traps at Longstock on the River Test in Hampshire by Kevin Browne creates a wonderful tranquil desktop and mobile background image.
European freshwater eels make a complex migration between river and sea, breeding in the Sargasso Sea, North Atlantic, but living most of their adult life in fresh water rivers thousands of miles away. Eel traps were used to capture them as an abundant source of cheap food, and many still remain in rivers across Britain. The numbers of eels in British rivers are much diminished, so most eel traps are disused.

To save the image on a computer, right-click (or alt-click) and select 'save target as' or the equivalent for your browser. For most computers, right click the desktop and select 'set wallpaper' to change the wallpaper image. For iOS devices, select the image, press and hold on the image to 'save image', then go to Photos > Share > Set as Wallpaper. On Android devices, select the image, long press to 'download image' and then go to Wallpapers > My photos and select the image.
