What drives you to spend time outside?
I love the freedom and escapism of the great outdoors and how it relaxes and de-stresses me.
Where are your favourite places to go?
I love climbing the mountains of Britain and the peaks of the Lake District, near my home, are my favourite place to explore.
What is your favourite thing to do outdoors?
Climbing mountains and sleeping in my tent under the stars.

I’m inspired by all of the GetOutside Champions in different ways.What are your focuses this year to help people get outside more often?
I hope that my adventures, my social media and my writing inspire people to climb more mountains.
What are your 3 biggest life achievements?
Climbing 1,001 mountains – every mountains in the UK and Ireland – in the past 3 years. Publishing my debut book Mountain Man: 446 Mountains. Six Months. One record-breaking adventure. Quitting my city life and becoming a full-time freelance adventure writer.
