National Share A Story Month: Tell us about your adventures!

Share your exciting stories and routes that are based somewhere in Britain with us and you could feature on the #GetOutside website, alongside our champions.

The month of May marks National Share a Story month – a campaign that is aimed at getting more young people into reading and appreciating the art of storytelling. It is also National Walking Month!

Stories are so much more than a tale we tell our children to get them to sleep at night. Many of us seek inspiration for our own lives and we often turn to recommendations from friends, guide books and the internet for every day things. For example, when we’re deciding what to eat for dinner, choosing our next holiday destinations to help us escape from our busy daily lives or creating our dream bucket lists.

Get involved with #GetOutside

Lots of people have already been enjoying our adventure routes, which have been written by our #GetOutside champions and other outdoor enthusiasts. These include a range of fantastic mixed ability running, walking and cycling routes, across Britain – so you can #GetOutside with the whole family.

We’d like to hear from you. We want to hear the stories you have from getting outside and then we'll feature your favourite British adventures for others to follow. Share your passion for a particular area or tell the world about your trails, routes and walks with others by creating a story for the ‘Adventures’ section of our website.
