GetOutside Champion: Barbara Walshe
Barbara is a lover of the outdoors and a trustee of Living Streets, the UK charity for everyday walking.
Tracy Purnell is an avid mountain walker, spending most of her time wandering the hills of the Brecon Beacons National Park with her two dogs Asher and Marley.
She has a huge passion for the outdoors and document's her walks and adventures through her love of photography hoping to inspire others to get outdoors and enjoy the beauty we have around us. Tracy's love of mountains lead to a bit of an obsession bagging Ordnance Survey Triangulation Pillars.
Tracy's holidays and some extended weekends takes her around the UK in her campervan climbing mountains and ticking OS Trig points off her list as she goes.
Tracy has recently become involved in trail running and has set herself a challenge of running a 40 mile route on 24th March 2018 though the Brecon Beacons to raise much needed funds for the Brecon Beacons Mountain Rescue, who lost all their equipment last year due to a fire that destroyed their head quarters.
Other adventures this year include a trip back to Scotland to conquer more mountains, visiting the lake district again to tick more trig pillars off the list and many more trips to the mountain ranges of North Wales. And of course all accompanied by Asher and Marley!
