Philly is a walker, writer and rower living in Cornwall.
In 2010 she dug herself out of the library after Finals, finding peace and breathing space on the GR11, a long-distance trail that runs from the Atlantic to the Mediterranean across the Spanish Pyrenees.
Real life and shorter walks filled the years between, but this year she is taking on the Pacific Crest Trail, starting at the Mexican border and hiking to Canada with her life on her back.
She can also be found exploring the coast rowing a traditional Falmouth oyster punt, or nosing out new bridleways to test her aged mountain bike.
Philly’s superpower is finding a circular pub walk within 30 seconds of being presented with any OS map.
