Hilary Tomlinson is a keen walker and loves the outdoors.
Her favourite places are the Lake District, Switzerland and strolling her local walks in the Staffordshire Moorlands.
Unfortunately Hilary has dodgy knees and ankles from too many basketball injuries in her younger days so going downhill tends to be a slow and painful business. Regrettably Hilary has also suffered from Meniere's disease for over 20 years. This gives her permanent balance problems and occasional vertigo attacks.
Despite these difficulties Hilary managed her 100th Wainwright in 2017 and has walked between 1-2000 miles for each of the last 3 years. In 2016 she visited 9 National Parks in the USA, clocking up over 400 miles mostly above 5000 feet.
