Meet Dan Raven-Ellison - Parent, guerrilla geographer, National Geographic Emerging Explorer, former geography teacher and founder of both Slow Ways and the campaign to make London the world’s first National Park City.

Dan focuses on combining creative exploration, geography and communication to tackle social and environmental challenges. He's walked across all of the UK’s National Parks and cities wearing a mind-reading device, walked the height of Mount Everest by only using London buildings, authored children’s books and completed 125 adventures around the country with his son.

Dan is also the founder of Slow Ways which is an initiative to create a network of walking routes that connect all of Great Britain's towns and cities. Dan kick-started the initiative at GeoVation, Ordnance Survey's innovation centre.

Daniel regularly gives talks and keynotes on adventure, exploration, play, education, conservation, technology and cities.
